About WML Aquatics
A Personal Message:
Wendie Lubinsky - I am the owner and CEO of WML Aquatics. Since 1996 I have been certified by the American Red Cross as an Instructor Trainer. I find teaching American Red Cross classes to be greatly rewarding and I love certifying students to do the same. It doesn't matter whether you hold a base level lifeguarding card or if you become an instructor, the rewards are all the same. Knowing that you are helping your community by either being prepared in case of an emergency or actually performing CPR, is giving back in immeasurable ways. Every time I help an injured victim or teach someone how to use and AED machine I know that there is one more person out there who will respond appropriately in an emergency situation. If I give one person the skills to aid in a car accident or respond to someone choking on their food in a restaurant then I have fulfilled my duty as an American Red Cross Instructor. So come be a lifeguard at a pool for the summer, teach a child to swim or become a CPR instructor and know what it feels like to be apart of a safer and healthier community.
Cari Hallion is president of WML Aquatics. She has been an Aquatics professional since 1990. Laura Chaisson grew up in Maine swimming in local rivers and lakes, and her favorite, the ocean. At 15, she was certified as an American Red Cross Lifeguard at the local YMCA so she could work in and around the water year-round. She has worked as a lifeguard at a variety of Maine’s fine water-parks, lake-fronts, YMCA’s and beaches. Laura also spent many years teaching swim lessons for a variety of ages and swim levels. In the spring of 2011, she was offered a summer job as an Aquatics Director at the Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation in the beautiful northern Adirondacks of New York, and found herself certified to teach the Boy Scout Lifeguard course, along with a wide variety of aquatics merit badges. Laura loved New York so much that she decided to stay here, and was happy to join the WML Aquatics team. She is also very involved in the Boy Scouts of America, and teaches aquatics merit badges through the Westchester-Putnam Council.

Navin Bhatia taught himself how to swim at the age of eleven. Soon after, he became the captain of his high school swim team, and a certified lifeguard. Navin got his first start in the pool industry as a lifeguard. Along the way, he learned construction, leadership and management skills, and was eventually promoted to head lifeguard. Soon after that, he became an area supervisor, where he had to manage 20 lifeguards and the operation of 12 swimming pool facilities. After four short years, he moved into his rewarding position as a lifeguard instructor. Navin’s love of water has translated into a love of working for the pool industry. Navin combines his love for teaching and swimming through his lifeguarding while making sure his students have the knowledge and skills to take on any challenges thrown their way.
