WML Aquatics will conduct classes in the manner prescribed by the American Red Cross, which has provided guidelines for proper hygiene and, wherever possible, social-distancing. Each student will be provided with the use of his or her own manikin and AED equipment for instruction. Instructors will be required to properly decontaminate all equipment between classes. However, the American Red Cross has stipulated that lifeguard training and instructor training cannot be conducted entirely with social-distancing, as would be obvious in any rescue-training scenario or instruction involving multiple students. Nevertheless, the New York State Department of Health has recognized that lifeguard training is vital to the safety of bathers in the state and has specifically authorized training to be conducted even though social-distancing is not always possible.

BY REGISTERING FOR CLASSES WITH WML AQUATICS, YOU ARE ACCORDINGLY ACKNOWLEDGING THAT INSTRUCTION MAY INVOLVE CLOSE CONTACT WITH OTHERS WHO MAY BE INFECTED WITH COVID-19, AND YOU RELEASE AND DISCHARGE WML AQUATICS AND ITS OWNERS, PRINCIPALS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS FROM ALL COVID-19-RELATED LIABILITY, CLAIMS, DAMAGES OR EXPENSES THAT MAY ARISE OR RESULT FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN ANY WML AQUATICS PROGRAMS OR ACTIVITIES.
